If you aren't making homemade Mega Kiwi gelato, you aren't doing life right.
I know, it is November. Why am I making a cold treat in November? My kid keeps asking me for a "treat" which usually means ice cream or some sort of frozen novelty. We live about 30 minutes from the nearest grocery or convenient store, so when we are out of treats we resolve to make our own. And I am SO GLAD we do! You won't find anything like this sweet, tart, creamy gelato in a Walmart!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of sugar (or more for your preference)
1/2 cup of sugar (or more for your preference)
1/2 cup of heavy cream
Directions:
1. Peel and rough chop Mega Kiwi
2. Place Mega Kiwi in a plastic baggie in the freezer until frozen
3. Once frozen, place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
4. Dump the contents into a metal bread pan and place back in the freezer for a few hours, or until firm.
5. Use an ice cream scoop and serve in bowls. Enjoy!
